Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 19 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the parcel2bd platform, including our website, mobile experiences, and any related services (collectively, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by parcel2bd ("parcel2bd", "we", "us", or "our").

parcel2bd is a crowdshipping marketplace that connects individuals who wish to send parcels ("Senders") with individuals who are already travelling and are willing to carry those parcels ("Travellers") between Bangladesh and Sweden. Senders and Travellers are together referred to as "Users" or "you".

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. parcel2bd is only a technology intermediary. We do not transport, carry, handle, inspect, take custody of, insure, or take ownership of any parcel. We are not a courier, freight forwarder, carrier, customs broker, or logistics company. Every arrangement to carry a parcel is a private agreement between a Sender and a Traveller. By using the Platform you agree that parcel2bd is not a party to that agreement and bears no responsibility or liability for it.

By registering for, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility and Account

1.1. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your country of residence.

1.2. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.

1.3. You confirm that you are not barred from sending, receiving, or carrying goods under any applicable law, sanction, watchlist, or court order.

1.4. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms or any law has been or may be breached.

2. Nature of the Service — parcel2bd Is an Intermediary Only

2.1. The Platform is a neutral venue that allows Users to discover one another, communicate, and arrange parcel carriage between themselves.

2.2. parcel2bd does not:

  • transport, carry, collect, store, pack, or deliver any parcel;
  • inspect, verify, weigh, screen, x-ray, or confirm the contents of any parcel;
  • guarantee the conduct, identity, honesty, reliability, or legal status of any User;
  • guarantee that any parcel will be collected, carried, delivered, or returned;
  • act as agent, broker, partner, employer, or representative of any User.

2.3. Any contract for the carriage of a parcel is formed directly and exclusively between the Sender and the Traveller. Users negotiate and agree their own terms (including any compensation, timing, handover, and delivery arrangements) at their own risk.

2.4. parcel2bd does not set, collect, hold, or guarantee any payment between Users except where a payment feature is expressly offered, and even then we act only as a facilitator and not as a party to the underlying carriage agreement.

3. Cross-Border, Customs, and Applicable Law

3.1. Compliance is your responsibility. The carriage of parcels across international borders is heavily regulated. Both the Sender and the Traveller are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements, including but not limited to those of:

  • Bangladesh — including the customs and import/export framework administered by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Bangladesh Customs (e.g. the Customs Act and related import/export control orders), foreign exchange controls, and restrictions on the movement of currency, gold, and other controlled goods;
  • Sweden and the European Union — including the rules administered by Swedish Customs (Tullverket), the Union Customs Code (UCC), EU import/export controls, VAT and duty rules, and EU prohibitions and restrictions on regulated goods;
  • the rules of any transit country through which the Traveller passes; and
  • the regulations of the airline or other carrier, and of all relevant airports and border authorities.

3.2. Declaration and duties. Each parcel may be subject to customs declaration, inspection, import duties, VAT, taxes, fees, licensing, or permits. The Sender and Traveller are jointly and individually responsible for ensuring that the parcel is correctly and truthfully declared and that any duties, taxes, fees, or penalties are paid. parcel2bd is not responsible for any declaration, duty, tax, fee, fine, seizure, detention, or penalty.

3.3. No legal advice. Any guidance, category labels, prohibited-item lists, or informational content provided on the Platform is for general convenience only, may be incomplete or out of date, and does not constitute legal, customs, tax, or regulatory advice. You must independently verify the current legal requirements before sending or carrying any parcel.

3.4. Customs and border outcomes. Border and customs authorities may inspect, question, detain, seize, or refuse entry to any parcel or person at their sole discretion. parcel2bd has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, any such action or its consequences (including delay, loss, confiscation, fines, arrest, prosecution, or denial of entry).

4. Senders — Obligations and Responsibility

By posting a parcel request or handing a parcel to a Traveller, the Sender represents, warrants, and agrees that:

4.1. The parcel and all of its contents are legal to send, export, import, and carry under the laws of Bangladesh, Sweden, the EU, and any transit country, and comply with all airline and carrier rules.

4.2. The Sender will not send, attempt to send, or conceal any prohibited, restricted, dangerous, or illegal item, including (without limitation):

  • narcotics, drugs, or controlled substances;
  • weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or their components;
  • currency, gold, or valuables in breach of foreign-exchange or customs rules;
  • counterfeit, smuggled, stolen, or pirated goods;
  • hazardous, flammable, toxic, radioactive, or otherwise dangerous materials;
  • live animals, protected wildlife, or restricted biological material;
  • perishable, regulated, or licence-required goods sent without the required permits;
  • any item prohibited or restricted by law, by customs authorities, or by the carrier.

4.3. The Sender has truthfully and accurately described the parcel and its full contents to the Traveller and has not misrepresented or concealed anything about it.

4.4. The Sender accepts that they are SOLELY and FULLY responsible for the parcel and its contents. If the Sender sends any illegal, prohibited, or restricted item — whether knowingly or not — the Sender alone bears all legal, civil, criminal, and financial responsibility for it. parcel2bd and the Traveller shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for the Sender's contents, and the Sender shall indemnify and hold harmless both parcel2bd and the Traveller against any claim, loss, fine, penalty, or proceeding arising from those contents.

4.5. The Sender will properly pack the parcel, keep it open and available for the Traveller's inspection before handover, and provide any documentation required.

4.6. The Sender accepts the risk that a parcel may be lost, damaged, delayed, stolen, opened, seized, or never delivered, and that parcel2bd does not insure or compensate for any such outcome.

5. Travellers — Obligations and Responsibility

By offering to carry a parcel or accepting a parcel for carriage, the Traveller represents, warrants, and agrees that:

5.1. The Traveller must personally and carefully verify and inspect the full contents of every parcel before accepting it. The Traveller must satisfy themselves that the parcel contains only what the Sender has described and that nothing illegal, prohibited, restricted, or dangerous is included.

5.2. The Traveller must refuse and not carry any parcel that they have not been able to fully inspect, that they do not understand, that appears tampered with or sealed against inspection, or that contains (or may contain) any prohibited, restricted, or illegal item.

5.3. The Traveller is solely responsible for whatever they choose to carry. By taking a parcel across a border, the Traveller presents it to the authorities as their own and accepts full legal responsibility for it, including any declaration, duty, inspection, detention, fine, seizure, or prosecution.

5.4. The Traveller must comply with all laws, customs requirements, airline rules, baggage limits, and security regulations, and must make all required customs declarations truthfully.

5.5. The Traveller acknowledges that parcel2bd has not screened, inspected, or verified any parcel or Sender, and that the decision to carry any parcel is made entirely at the Traveller's own risk and discretion.

5.6. The Traveller will handle agreed parcels with reasonable care and deliver them as agreed with the Sender, but accepts that parcel2bd does not guarantee, supervise, or enforce that private arrangement.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • arrange the carriage of any illegal, prohibited, restricted, or dangerous item;
  • evade customs, taxes, duties, sanctions, or any border or legal requirement;
  • smuggle, launder, or transport the proceeds of crime;
  • impersonate any person, provide false information, or conceal a parcel's true contents or purpose;
  • defraud, harass, threaten, or endanger any other User; or
  • breach any applicable law or these Terms.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, and report suspected illegal activity to the relevant authorities at our discretion.

7. Assumption of Risk

7.1. You use the Platform and engage with other Users entirely at your own risk. Crowdshipping involves meeting and dealing with people you do not know and entrusting or carrying property across international borders.

7.2. parcel2bd does not perform background checks, identity verification beyond basic account information, criminal-record checks, or parcel screening unless expressly stated. You are responsible for assessing the trustworthiness of any User you deal with.

7.3. You accept all risks arising from the carriage, handover, delivery, non-delivery, loss, theft, damage, delay, inspection, detention, seizure, or confiscation of any parcel, and from any interaction with another User.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

8.1. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8.2. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any listing or User information is accurate, or that any parcel will be carried or delivered.

8.3. We make no warranty regarding the legality, safety, quality, condition, or contents of any parcel, or the conduct, identity, or reliability of any User.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. parcel2bd is not a party to any carriage arrangement between Users and shall not be liable, in any way, for anything that happens before, during, or after the travelling, carriage, handover, or delivery of any parcel.

9.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, parcel2bd, its owners, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost, fine, penalty, tax, duty, prosecution, arrest, seizure, delay, non-delivery, or other harm of any kind — whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary — arising out of or in connection with:

  • any parcel, its contents, or its carriage;
  • any act, omission, conduct, negligence, or crime of any Sender, Traveller, or third party;
  • any customs, border, airline, or governmental action;
  • any illegal, prohibited, or restricted item sent or carried;
  • any dispute between Users; or
  • your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

9.3. Without limiting the above, parcel2bd shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for anything that happens during travelling with a parcel, including but not limited to inspection, questioning, detention, fines, seizure, arrest, prosecution, injury, loss, or damage.

9.4. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, parcel2bd's total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to parcel2bd for use of the Platform in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50 (or its equivalent).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless parcel2bd and its owners, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, fines, penalties, taxes, duties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • your use of the Platform;
  • any parcel you send or carry, and its contents;
  • your breach of these Terms or of any law; or
  • any dispute between you and another User or any third party.

This obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.

11. Disputes Between Users

Any dispute, disagreement, or claim between a Sender and a Traveller (including over lost, damaged, undelivered, or seized parcels, payment, or conduct) is solely between those Users. parcel2bd is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, investigate, or resolve such disputes and accepts no liability in relation to them.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data. By using the Platform you consent to that processing.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted on the Platform (or on the stated effective date). Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections relating to responsibility, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes survive termination.

15. Governing Law and Severability

15.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which parcel2bd is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

15.2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Acknowledgement and Acceptance

By creating an account, posting a request or trip, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, and in particular that:

  • parcel2bd is only an intermediary and is in no way responsible or liable for any parcel, its contents, its carriage, or anything that happens during travelling;
  • the Sender alone is fully responsible for the legality of everything they send and bears sole responsibility if any illegal item is sent;
  • the Traveller is responsible for verifying and inspecting everything they agree to carry and accepts full responsibility for it; and
  • you assume all risk and agree to indemnify parcel2bd as set out above.
